Who this policy covers

SEM Lab operates this informational studio website from Morocco. This policy covers the website and communications sent directly to SEM Lab.

Information the website receives

The website does not provide user accounts, checkout, or direct payment processing. It does not currently contain an active newsletter signup. Text entered in the newsletter email field is not submitted to SEM Lab or stored by the website because the submit control is disabled.

When you submit the Start a Project form, the project brief may include:

• your name and work email;
• your business, company, or product name;
• a website or product URL, if you provide one;
• the project type, main goal, target timeline, and budget range; and
• any optional extra context you choose to share.

The brief is sent through the SEM Lab backend and stored in a Google Sheet through Google Apps Script. After a successful submission, you can choose an intro call time through Cal.com. The booking flow may use the submitted name and email to prefill booking details.

If you contact SEM Lab through email or WhatsApp, SEM Lab may also receive the contact details, profile information, message history, and other information you choose to provide through that service.

Ask SEM

When you submit a question to Ask SEM, the website sends that question and curated public site information to Groq to generate a reply. Do not include sensitive or confidential information. Replies are AI-generated and may be mistaken.

The SEM Lab application does not intentionally store full chat history or use persistent chat storage. Each request sends only the current question, and the current question and reply remain in browser memory while the assistant is minimized; closing it, starting a new chat, or reloading clears them. Temporary server rate-limit counters use a hash of the network address and contain no conversation content. Groq and hosting providers may process request data under their own practices; this site does not guarantee zero provider retention.

How communication data is used

Information you provide is used to respond to inquiries, assess project fit, arrange calls, prepare proposals, deliver agreed services, maintain project records, and handle related administrative or legal matters. SEM Lab does not sell personal information.

Third-party services

SEM Lab uses Google Apps Script to receive project briefs and Google Sheets to store them, Cal.com to provide scheduling after a successful brief submission, and Groq to generate Ask SEM replies. If you use WhatsApp or email, the relevant messaging or email provider may receive technical, contact, and communication data under its own privacy policy.

These providers process information under their own terms and privacy practices. SEM Lab does not make claims here about their storage locations or retention periods.

Cookies and analytics

The current SEM Lab code does not install an analytics tool or create first-party tracking cookies. The Cal.com integration is third-party software and may use cookies or similar storage under Cal.com’s own policy. If SEM Lab later adds analytics, active newsletter collection, or additional cookies, this policy and any required consent controls should be updated before collection begins.

Retention and security

Direct communications and project records are kept only for as long as reasonably needed for the inquiry, engagement, administration, dispute handling, or applicable legal obligations. SEM Lab takes reasonable measures to protect information, but no email, messaging platform, or internet transmission can be guaranteed completely secure.

Your rights in Morocco

Moroccan Law 09-08 provides rights concerning personal data, including access, correction, and objection on legitimate grounds. You may ask what personal information SEM Lab holds about you, request a correction, or raise an objection by emailing the address below. Requests may require reasonable identity verification.
